Glutes and balance

Single-Leg RDLs

Single-leg hip hinge. A rep movement: a completed cycle counts.

Where to put the phone

Standing on one leg, whole body in frame, room behind you for the free leg.

Stand at roughly 45° to the phone. The counter still reads the cycle from the front or the side; the angle only decides how much technique detail the camera can see.

What closes a rep

Hinge forward while the free leg travels back, then stand. The rep closes when you are upright.

What makes the counter wait

The free foot has to leave the floor. A hinge with both feet down is a good morning.

Alternating movements are counted on every drive. A repeat on the same side is still counted, it is just not ranked, and the recap shows “alternate sides” as the advisory.

One tip

Look at a point on the floor a couple of meters ahead. Balance improves and the camera keeps your head in frame.

After the set

Every set ends with the same recap: reps counted, time, pace, the longest run, pauses, whether the second half held up, and the camera angle the phone actually saw. Technique detail is measured for the recap and never used to refuse a rep. Why we count and do not grade →
