Stability and holds

Plank

Isometric core hold. A timed hold: the counter banks seconds.

Where to put the phone

Side on, phone on the floor a few meters away. Shoulders, hips and feet in one line across the frame.

Stand side on. The depth and the line of the movement are clearest from the side.

What banks time

Time banks while the plank holds. Dropping the knees or standing up stops the clock.

What makes the counter wait

A sagging or piked plank still holds; the line is measured for the recap, not used to stop the timer.

One tip

Forearms or hands, both are a plank to the counter.

After the set

Every set ends with the same recap: seconds held, time, the longest run, pauses, whether the second half held up, and the camera angle the phone actually saw. Technique detail is measured for the recap and never used to refuse time. Why we count and do not grade →
