Where to put the phone
Face the phone with the whole body in frame, including the hands overhead at the top.
Face the phone. This movement reads best when both sides of the body are visible at once.
What closes a rep
Jump out with arms up, jump back in. The rep closes with the feet together.
What makes the counter wait
Feet and hands both have to open. A step-out with arms down is a different exercise.
Because this is a jump, a cycle with no flight is refused. That is one of the three physical impossibilities the counter checks; nothing else can refuse a count.
One tip
A common movement-break pick: nothing needed but standing room.
After the set
Every set ends with the same recap: reps counted, time, pace, the longest run, pauses, whether the second half held up, and the camera angle the phone actually saw. Technique detail is measured for the recap and never used to refuse a rep. Why we count and do not grade →
