The story so far
Strikt starts with a 28-year-old in Italy and a small frustration: when it is time to train, there is always something else to manage. The timer. The rep count. Another screen asking for attention.
The idea is simple: put the phone down and get on with the set. Let the camera do the counting. Keep the useful details for afterward.
That is the spirit behind Strikt: an independent project, built one decision at a time, for people who want movement to fit the day they actually have.
The rules it is built on
- Count, don't grade. A completed cycle is a rep. No form score, no argument with the phone.
- Missing evidence waits. The camera never refuses a rep for something it did not see.
- Replays are a separate opt-in feature for adults: videos are uploaded for private playback in your profile and kept until you delete them or your account.
- Rep counting runs on-device. Coach Lens can keep a temporary local replay, never uploaded. Optional diagnostics and live race video have separate choices in the privacy policy.
- Nothing is guessed. Sleep comes from a check-in or from Apple Health, never from phone pickups.
- Numbers are sacred. If a number on a screen cannot be earned, it is not shown.
What it is not
Strikt is not a medical device and not a coach for loaded lifts, running or race stations. It counts what a stationary phone can see. When that is the wrong tool for the session, this page says so.
